Junior Champion of the Open Show
164 head of heifers and bulls were shown today
"For our Junior Champion Parade, we would like to congratulate all the exhibitors for a great show today. Tom is my Associate because we like the same kind, square heifers with a lot of rib. The two Winter Yearlings caught our eye because of their style and their tremendous open rib. The Spring Yearling is a long bodied heifer that is upstanding with a wide rump. The Winter Calf was a handy winner in her class and has great openess of rib and width of chest. Today, I am going with our two Winter Yearlings for Junior Champion and Reserve and following with our Winter Calf as Honorable Mention. You just love the natural shine this 1st place Winter Yearling has. She just catches your eye when she comes in the ring. The Winter Yearlings go over the Winter Calf for their advantage in width, mass and openess. The 2nd Place Winter Yearling is also longer necked than our Winter Calf."
